Sherry Simpson – Building Customer Loyalty and Trust with a CDP (Customer Data Platform)

Sherry is MarTech & Data Lead at Suncorp, a financial services Group offering insurance and banking products and services through a network of brands across Australia and New Zealand. With 15 years’ experience across 1:1 campaigns, loyalty, data and technology, Sherry has a passion for connecting technology to business and customer outcomes. This results in strong connections into marketing and equally digging deep into data management and technology solutions – a powerful combination to ensure the organisation unlocks the value of technology by anchoring back to business pain points and new possibilities. This has seen her collaborate, consult and inspire new initiatives from smaller enablement pieces to the implementation and adoption of enterprise platforms. Sherry’s most recent implementation of the Customer Data Platform at Suncorp brings together customer and anonymous behavioural information to enable more data-driven and responsive customer communications. The critical elements in this success have been how to best realise the fundamental purpose of the platform and make it accessible for end-users.
