The ALA Melbourne Loyalty Networking Event will be held in the Showtime Events Centre at South Wharf on Thursday the 30th of March.
The evening will begin with networking, drinks and canapés followed by a formal seated dinner and keynote address. Delegates can continue to network with like-minded professionals throughout the evening and participate in our prize draw, compliments of our top sponsors and partners.
This year’s speaker is Dr Alex Belli from the University of Adelaide. Dr Belli will present on ‘An Academic Look at Two Critical Questions: How Effective Are Loyalty Programs and What Makes Them Work?’. Delegates will receive an exclusive copy of his research paper, ’40 years of loyalty programs: how effective are they? Generalizations from a meta-analysis’ after the event.

Dr Alex Belli is a lecturer and Assistant Professor in marketing at The University of Adelaide. He completed his PhD in Marketing at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2019, and since 2014 he has been working as a lecturer and workshop facilitator across five Australian Universities, including UTS, the University of Sydney, and Macquarie University.
His research has been featured in the Journal of Consumer Psychology, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and the Journal of Business Ethics, among others. He is co-author of ’40 years of loyalty programs: how effective are they? Generalizations from a meta-analysis’.
